Retuning Your Receiver - Australia and New Zealand

The basic process for retuning is to delete existing channels, enter new tuning information, scan for all channels, and then re-organise the channels. To rescan your own receiver, the transponder data is as follows:

  • Frequency: 12706 (12706.5)
  • Polarity: Vertical
  • Symbol Rate: 22500
  • FEC: 3 / 4
  • “Network Search” must be set to “enabled’ or “on” so that it can load all available channels.

The Optus D2 satellite is in the same position as its predecessor (no dish realignment required), but all the tuning parameters changed in early 2008 when Optus D2 replaced Optus B3. This means that every receiver installed before Jan 2008 requires reconfiguration.
