Many people are choosing to install the dish themselves and then get an installer to fine-tune the alignment of the dish. Most installers are happy to help in this way for a standard realignment fee.

GlobeCast Australia will be looking to migrate its transponders onto the D2 satellite early in the morning of January 15, 2008. There will be a frequency change for all transponders, however, GlobeCast Australia has established a home frequency that all viewers can tune to. This home frequency will list all transponders operated by GlobeCast Australia.
In the past, viewers have had to load individual transponder details to view new channels. By establishing a home frequency you will only need to log into one frequency to access all channels broadcast on the GlobeCast Australia platform.
The new parameters will be available from 6am on : January 15, 2008 - Sydney Time

Polarity: Vertical
Symbol Rate: 22500
FEC: 3 / 4
"Network Search" must be set to "enabled' or "on" so that it can load all available channels.

You can get your own complete system in Australia and NZ to receive free-to-air channels on Optus D2. Please ask your local installer for pricing. Usually the closest installer will have the best price and the most reliable backup! And there's NO monthly payments!
